Not since Chicken Little announced that "the sky is falling" has there been such a ruckus over poultry. A woman in Fort Pierce, Fla., called 911 three times after she ordered a 10-piece McNuggets at a McDonald's and was told the fast-food restaurant had run out of them. The 27-year-old became upset because she had already paid for them. The store refused to refund her money but offered her a burger that she didn't want for the same price.

The Smoking Gun has a copy of the report filed with the Fort Pierce Police Department. When an officer arrived at the restaurant and told Latreasa Goodman that her situation was not an emergency, she replied, "this is an emergency, my McNuggets are an emergency." Police cited her for misuse of the 911 system and she's supposed to appear in court.

Of course it was silly that she called 911 for this, but I don't get why she wasn't just issued a refund in the first place. The store said it doesn't give refunds, but who knows? Maybe she doesn't eat beef. Regardless, the workers in that McDonald's can definitely learn a few customer service tips from one of their competitors who used to run commercials saying, "Have it your way, have it your way!"

Earlier this week it was rumored that Michael Jackson was planning a series of concerts at London’s 02 Arena. However it’s Jacko, and you can never really be sure what’s going on with him. A butterfly could land on his hand and break his arm, preventing him from going to court. Imagine what could get in the way of a concert. But the King of Pop held a massive press conference today (he was an hour and a half late; no word on the excuse) in which he confirmed the rumors, saying that he would play a series of 10 concerts. He called them his “final curtain call.”

Michael Jackson returned to the spotlight Thursday after eight years marked more by scandal than by song and told a crowd of screaming fans that he would play a series of London engagements - his first concerts since 2001.

Wearing his trademark sunglasses and a silver-embroidered black military-style jacket, the King of Pop said his series of shows in July will be his “final curtain call” in the British capital.

“This is it,” Jackson said in a brief statement punctuated by the squeals of fans who gathered inside the massive O2 Arena in southeast London. “And when I say this is it, I mean this is it.”

Although Jackson said the shows would be his last in London, his statement left the door open for further concerts elsewhere. Promoter AEG Live told the BBC the shows might be part of a bigger, final world tour. An hour and a half late, Jackson appeared at the O2 - where the series of 10 concerts are due to be staged this summer - to announce the gigs.

More than 300 journalists had been marshaled to capture the event, even though news of the concerts had leaked out to the media days before. A telegenic army of screaming fans was there to greet their star - although many in the crowd said they were there to catch a live show due to play shortly after the announcement.

The fact that Hugh Hefner is still alive and kicking at 83 amazes me. Not because 83 is an unusually old age or anything, but because he’s lived quite the active life. I didn’t think you could have sex as much as Hef and live past your sixties. Though maybe that’s his secret. It’s constant exercise, if nothing else.

But according to insiders, Hef is looking the worse for wear lately. People are definitely starting to realize that he is an old man, and not just a committed swinger anymore. At a recent Playboy party he was seen shuffling around with the help of one of his girlfriends, and several sources say his recent romantic troubles haven’t helped things.

Hugh Hefner is still surrounded by bevies of busty beauties below the age of 25 — but is age finally catching up to the men’s magazine mogul?

The 83-year-old made a brief appearance at the Annual Kandyland Masquerade Ball at the iconic Mansion on Saturday night, but we’re told by numerous Playboy party regulars that while he appeared in good spirits, Hefner looked far from his normally alert and healthy self.

“He looked so old, like he had aged 10 years in the last month and was barely moving,” said an insider, adding that Hef’s new number one Crystal held his hand and assisted him as she “slowly shuffled” along while his other lovers (the 19-year-old Shannon twins) marched ahead of the bunny brigade and reveled in the limelight.

“I have some aches and pains and I have had lower back problems since the ’80s,” Hefner told Tarts last year. “Too much time in bed rustling around with friends.” But are Hef’s health concerns a little more serious these days and has it got to do with the recent upheaval of the Girls Next Door?

“Things aren’t quite the same since Holly and the girls left,” added our insider. “Hef loves all the new ones, but I think the transition really took its toll.”

One of Hollywood’s most notorious bachelors is getting ready to tie the knot. “Wedding Crashers” star Vince Vaughan, once linked to Jennifer Aniston, is engaged to Canadian real estate agent Kyla Weber. Wow! This one was somewhat of a shocker to me. I always thought Vince would go the way of George Clooney. He seemed like the kind of guy who likes to have fun and never settle down. But maybe that’s just because of the characters he always plays in his movies. Apparently, the couple was trying to keep it under wraps, but the cat was let out of the bag by Weber’s father, who confirmed the engagement to a Canadian newspaper. I didn’t even know Vince was dating anyone!

Actor Vince Vaughn is set to marry 29-year-old Calgary realtor Kyla Weber shortly, her father confirmed Thursday.

Ken Weber confirmed that his daughter is indeed engaged to the Wedding Crashers funnyman, but chose not to comment further. He says his daughter is presently in Los Angeles and no longer in Calgary.

Weber quickly became a hot topic on Wednesday when news broke that Vaughn had dropped to one knee and presented her a $125,000, four-carat ring on Valentine’s Day. There is no word on when or where the two will get married.

Internet sources claim Weber is originally from the town of Okotoks, just south of the city, and either met the Wedding Crashers star while vacationing in Venice Beach, California, or in Italy. The pair are rumoured to have met through a movie producer friend of Vaughn’s.

In Touch Magazine spoke with a friend of Vaughn’s in December who said that the 38-year-old actor is looking to settle down.

“Vince is ready to get married and has been for a while,” says the buddy. “He wants to start a family.”

Since his previous high-profile romance to Friends star Jennifer Aniston quickly became tabloid fodder, the Minnesota-born actor, has been reluctant to discuss the details of his new engagement.

“I don’t talk much about private matters,” Vaughn told USA Today last year. “But I am in a very happy, serious, committed relationship.”

Coincidently, Vaughn’s Canadian-born mother was also a real estate agent.
