Chris Brown has been charged with two felonies for his assault on Rihanna in early February. Even though most reports say she’s not cooperating with the police or prosecutors and is unlikely to testify against him, thankfully that does not stop the District Attorney from filing charges.
According to TMZ, Brown has been charged with felony assault and making a criminal threat. The assault is obvious – Celebitchy wrote earlier today about the horrible details of the crime, which are just as bad as we’ve all been hearing. There’s also the sickening new detail that Chris smashed her face against his car’s window.
The second felony – making a criminal threat – is likely due to his threats to kill Rihanna.

Things are looking better for Amy Winehouse both physically and personally. Her jackass husband Blake Fielder-Civil has filed for divorce, which is good for Amy whether she realizes it or not. And she is looking absolutely fabulous. She just returned to London after taking quite the extended vacation in St Lucia.
Not only has she put on some much-needed weight, but she is no longer a ghastly shade of pale. As the Daily Mail points out, she even has some light freckles on her face. Her hair is all cleaned up and newly behived and her clothes are clean. Amy’s also back to her signature ballet slippers, but this time there’s no blood on them. Miraculous! She looks like the Winehouse of two years ago.

March 25th, 2009UncategorizedIn the heyday of Friends, Jennifer Aniston's hair-do was all anyone talked about. It was all about layers, and she had a lot of them. I wasn't immune: I brought the photo into my hair cutter and asked for "The Rachel." She wasn't quite so skilled, and I ended up looking more like Florence Henderson, a la Brady Bunch. I was totally laughed at in school, and rightly so. That's what I got for trying to copy a star.
That was a long time ago, and Jennifer's hair hasn't changed much in the interim. So why is her head back in the news again? This time its because the Daily Mail revealed she recently spent £40,000 (about $56,792 at current conversion rates) on styling for the London Marley & Me premiere. -

This isn't a real surprise (to me anyway), but NBC has confirmed that Heroes will indeed return for another season this fall.
There's been endless talk about how the quality of the show has declined since the first season, and viewer numbers have been dropping this past season, but it's still a good show that draws a core audience and NBC understands this. It still has a certain amount of buzz associated with it, and NBC needs to hold on to what loyal fans the network has, especially since we don't know what the hell is going to happen with NBC's schedule when Jay Leno takes over 10pm Monday through Friday.
By the way, the Day One show mentioned in the article linked above is a new drama from Jesse Alexander, one of the producers of Heroes who was let go this season. It's about a group of residents from an apartment complex who have to band together after some sort of catastrophe. It could air on Monday nights too. -

Meet Gabriela, Manchesterster United golden boy Cristiano Ronaldo’s new girlfriend! Gabriela, 27, is a gym instructor from Brazil. She works as fit coach at a gym in Sintra, near Lisbon.
Gabriela, met Cristiano Ronaldo, 24, at a nightclub in Portugal. A love at first sight, Ronaldo might immediately have the crush on Gabriela. He invited her to watch a friendly match between Portugal and Finland.
Gabriela accepted the invitation and later Ronaldo had somebody taxi her to the statium.
When Gabriela turned up at the international, she waved a poster of Portugal’s No. 17, of course that’s Cristiano Ronaldo!
Needless to say, such a stunner who was so enthusiastic at Ronaldo, Gabriela attracted the attention of cameramen and was photographed. Finally, her picture was ended up by showing on the internet.
It seemed Gabriela and Cristina Ronaldo’s relationship had been developing very fast. Gabriela reportedly had already spent 7 days at Cristiano Ronaldo’s £4million home in England.
A friend of Gabriela said: “They’ve ended up dating. He’s fascinated by her athletic body. She says he’s attentive and romantic.” Source: The SUN

Early on in 24's run, and long before Fox knew it was going to be a staple of their network and one of their few reliable sources for solid ratings, Kiefer Sutherland talked about the possibility of the show going on without him. But that was before 24 became a phenomenon and Jack Bauer became an icon in his own right. Now, it's hard to imagine the show without him. And there hasn't really been any talk of it lately, but you do have to wonder if Fox isn't thinking about it.
Don't get me wrong, Season 7 is shaping up to be the second best season of the series so far (sorry, I don't think it will be possible to top Season 5), but what Monday's two-parter showed me was that 24 can be just as compelling without Jack Bauer. For the first hour of the night Jack was behind bars or being lead around by Secret Service agents. And yet there was plenty of action and excitement to keep the adrenaline pumping. Annie Wersching is a blast to watch as FBI Agent Renee Walker. Her ballsy dive both onto Juma's boat and off of it was pure Bauer. -

Over the past few months, with the economic misery drawing uncomfortable comparisons to the Great Depression and President Obama's stimulus plan looking more and more like the New Deal, it has become customary to look for other connections between 2009 and 1930. Thrift is back, as is recycling last year's styles. Public transportation has become newly relevant, and public works are once again on the drawing board. Perhaps most interestingly, robbery has gained fresh cultural relevance.
